LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—The LVMPD Foundation confirmed that its former director, Thomas Kovach, is facing 19 felony theft charges.
Justice Court documents detailed that Kovach committed the accused crimes within a span of five years.
Kovach is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from 2018 to 2022.
LVMPD Foundation Executive Director Karen Marben says the foundation has cooperated with the investigation.
“The Foundation is fully cooperating with Metro and their investigation of this matter, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to our mission and the community,” said Marben.
Marben said Kovach served as head of the foundation until early 2023.
Court records show a warrant was issued on Monday.
This is a developing story as FOX5 is still investigating to discover where the money was stolen from.
Kovach is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 28.
