LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Vegas Golden Knights are partnering with Comprehensive Cancer Centers for the annual Hockey Fights Cancer initiative.
Fans filled out 120 digital “battle cards” with messages of strength and encouragement that patients will receive.
VGK mascots visited patients at the cancer center on Tuesday.

ON Monday, some patients at the cancer center were visited by VGK mascots, including Chance and the Golden Knight.
“So important in terms of treatment. Certainly, we can give the medicine. But it’s also good to boost their spirits,” said medical oncologist and practice president at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, Rupesh Parikh. “I think that’s the most important thing we have to remember. It’s mind, body, and soul, right? And then this is to help their mind, obviously.”
