LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Governor Joe Lombardo signed a bill intended to help Nevada shoppers with rising egg costs is now law.
Gov. Lombardo signed Assembly Bill 171 after it passed through the legislature, less than 2 weeks after it was introduced.
It gives the agriculture director the authority to bypass a law requiring all eggs sold to be cage-free in the state for a 120 day period.
Lombardo shared in a statement, he hopes the legislature can repeal the law requiring cage-free egg sales.
