LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Federal Aviation Administration announced a ground stop at Harry Reid International Airport Thursday afternoon.
The FAA warned travelers to expect delays until 5 p.m. due to thunderstorms. The stop has since been lifted.
An additional 36-minute ground delay remains in effect as of 5 p.m., also due to thunderstorms.
According to FlightAware, 469 flights have been delayed out of Las Vegas and eight have been cancelled. Over half of the flights delayed were Southwest Airlines.
