LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Haas Automation has asked the City of Henderson to extend the completion deadline for its massive development until the end of 2026.
According to a letter written to the city by a representative from Triliad Development, Haas needs extra time due to COVID-19, supply chain issues, and increased construction costs. They asked for the deadline to be moved from April 10 of this year to December 31, 2026.
It noted that construction would begin by September 1 after an initial scheduled start date in November, 2020.
“Haas has spent over $100 million on the site already, installing the off-sites (including improvements to E. Larson and Via Inspirada), installing the amenity perimeter walkway/street lights, site grading, retaining walls to flatten site and installing all on-site underground utilities (storm drain, electrical conduit and structures, telephone/data conduits, fire sprinkler main lines, water lines, sewer, gas) to within 5′ of the buildings,” it noted in its request letter.
It added that Haas ordered and received all of the electrical switch gear stored in its R&D building and that it would comply with all agreement requirements regarding square footage, adding high-quality jobs, development cost and employee requirements.
