LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Southern Nevada Health District is investigating “travel-associated” cases of Legionnaires’ disease linked to Harrah’s Laughlin.
In a statement given to FOX5 on Tuesday morning, the Health District confirmed they are working with the property to investigate additional cases. Additionally, health officials are working to directly notify guests and staff members who stayed or worked in specific areas of the hotel during identified time periods where exposure may have occurred.
Officials say this targeted approach allows for “timely outreach to individuals most likely to be affected, including providing health information and guidance on symptoms.”
The investigation remains ongoing, and the Health District continues to work with the property to ensure appropriate remediation and follow-up testing of water systems.
FOX5 has also reached out to Harrah’s Laughlin for additional comment, and will update this article as needed.
