LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – This March, help STOP THE CLOT with FOX5!
During the month of March, FOX5 is partnering with the National Blood Clot Alliance to educate our viewers, and to get them moving, for National Blood Clot Awareness Month.
This is a first of its kind initiative, and it’s one that hits close to home for our station. In 2024, Morning Anchor Dave Hall had to leave the taping of a show in order to be rushed to the hospital. He felt shortness of breath but didn’t think much of it until the show’s executive producer urged him to seek medical attention. That visit saved Dave’s life, and he recounted his diagnosis and recovery in a special report that you can find HERE.
All month long FOX5 will provide lifesaving tips, highlight symptoms to look out for and FOX5’s Dave Hall will report and reflect on his personal journey since his health scare.
The numbers don’t lie. It’s estimated that 100,000 people die every year due to blood clots. And while everyone is susceptible, the good news blood clots are also very preventable. The National Blood Clot Alliance provides education and research that can help save lives. Find out more by visiting stoptheclot.org.
