LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Barricade suspect Trevor Cooper wanted to know where he could sell his body parts on the black market and how much human organs were worth, prior to a lengthy standoff in Henderson in April. That is detailed in a Henderson Police incident report obtained by FOX5.
Authorities found Cooper dead after the standoff in a townhome near Cadence off of Galleria. While the report says Cooper and police each fired guns during the barricade, it indicates the suspect died by suicide from oxycodone, fentanyl and other drugs.
The incident report says the barricade started with an FBI team attempting to contact and arrest Cooper for various felony crimes related to a kidnapping investigation, which document say included sexual assault charges.
Cooper ended up at the townhome when he asked a friend he met at a Jiu Jitsu gym if he could crash there. While that person and the townhome unit’s owner were leery about letting him stay, they agreed after a background check on Cooper. But said the stay would only be for a week.
According to the report, during the day of the barricade, Cooper told his roommate the cops were there. That roommate, who got out of the home, told police Cooper had an AR-15 rifle, body armor and at least 1,000 rounds of ammunition inside the unit and Cooper was willing to “shoot it out with the cops,” and “commit suicide by cop.”
During the incident a police negotiator said he wanted to help Cooper but he said “let’s not waste each other’s time, do you want to (expletive) shoot me now or in 12 hours.”
Documents also reveal before the barricade, Cooper did some internet searches about life insurance, wondering if he could buy it online and without screening. Documents show he also wanted to know where he could sell his body parts on the black market and how much human organs were worth. The report also shows Cooper wanted information about kidnapping, asking “if you kidnap someone and you request ransom from out of state is the jurisdiction state or federal. He also searched, “what type of body armor do police use and “best non extradition countries.”
The report explained Cooper’s mother also attempted to convince him over the phone to give up. His roommate predicted a horrible outcome, telling Cooper before he walked out of the home, “this doesn’t end well if you do this.”
