LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Henderson Fire Department graduated 11 new firefighters from its academy on Thursday.
Department officials said the recruits completed 20 weeks of intensive training, including instruction on hazardous materials, emergency medical procedures, and core firefighting skills.
The graduates are expected to begin full-time assignments at the department’s 13 fire stations in the coming weeks.
Recruitment for firefighter and firefighter/paramedic positions remains open until April 1 for the next academy class, scheduled to begin in August.
