LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Henderson police have arrested a man after an argument among relatives reportedly led to him firing his gun into an occupied vehicle.

Henderson police were dispatched to the area of Sandwedge Drive and Birdie Lane at about 6:20 p.m. on June 8 in reference to a report of a domestic incident involving a discharged firearm. Investigating officers learned that an argument between a husband and two other relatives led to a man firing a gun into an occupied vehicle.

The suspect, Eric Bennett, 63, was taken into custody on June 9 by the Criminal Apprehension Team. He was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and domestic battery.

The Criminal Apprehension Team is a multi-jurisdictional task force led by the FBI and staffed in the LVMPD’s Major Violators Bureau. It is comprised of FBI, HPD, LVMPD, NLVPD, and Nevada Department of Parole and Probation officers.

There were no injuries reported in this incident. Bennett is scheduled to appear in Henderson Justice Court on Tuesday.
