LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Air Force veteran Larry Utter will probably sleep better Thursday night.

“Now, I have a complete sense of relief so that I don’t have to worry about whether I’m going to wake up and go look at my pad and find out that my house has been vandalized again,” Utter said.

Henderson Police told FOX5 officers just arrested a 51-year-old man in connection to some stunning vandalism at Utter’s Henderson home, which is around Lake Mead and Water Street. Utter says someone put paint and human feces in bags and tossed them at his home. He says this started near the end of 2023 and happened several more times since then.

“Especially a man this age that was going out and doing this, that just shocks me,” said Utter.

Utter says he doesn’t know or recognized the suspect and has no idea of a motive. Henderson Police have not commented on any possible motive.

Utter says he stopped cleaning up the paint because it happened so much and worried it would only happen again and again.

Utter says he has focused on the good that came out of the incident. He says Henderson Police cleaned up his home and repainted some of it. He also says a power washing company cleaned paint from his driveway, porch and back patio for free after seeing the story on FOX5. Utter again wants to thank the company and the Henderson Police Department, not only for cleaning up, but also for diligently investigating and making an arrest.

“I’ve gotten everything cleaned up and it’s all been thankful to everybody else. And I’ve had people in the community say if you need anything let me know if I can help I will,” said Utter.
