LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The City of Henderson will decide Thursday if a new $50 million retail and entertainment hub should move forward.
It would convert old office buildings into new shops and restaurants just off St. Rose Parkway on Paseo Verde Parkway near Green Valley Ranch.
Developers say the new community space would be a first of its kind.
A video rendering shared with FOX5 shows what The Cliff at Green Valley Ranch could look like one day.
The developers, Partners Capital and Cast Capital Partners, call it a transformative open-air lifestyle destination unlike anything currently in Southern Nevada.
The $50 million redevelopment would convert two aging office buildings transforming the property into a 100,000-square-foot retail, dining, and entertainment hub.
If given the okay this week by the Henderson Planning Commission Thursday, it will move onto the Henderson City Council. Developers want it open by next year.
Some neighbors say the area already has too much traffic, but Dylan Buenaventura is excited for what’s to come.
“I think it would be great for the community around Green Valley… attracting people towards this side of town… I am excited for the future. I am excited to see what new things are going to come out,” shared Buenaventura.
Pending final city approvals, construction is slated to begin in October. The Cliff will open late spring or early summer of next year if all goes as planned.
