LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — From prom queen to high school graduate, a Las Vegas Valley high school held an early graduation for one of its students fighting terminal cancer.

Desert Oasis High School held a special commencement ceremony for 18-year-old Zamora Wallace at her home in Pahrump.

“Very happy to bestow upon you, your diploma from Desert Oasis High School, congratulations! You are now graduated from the class of 2025, you can turn your tassel from the right to the left,” school officials said.

Wallace has been battling terminal cancer for the last several years. Last week, her care team at 1Care Kids, a pediatric program helping young children living with complex medical conditions, also hosted a prom for her.
