LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — As an Extreme Heat Warning continues across the region, the National Park Service (NPS) are making sure visitors stay safe during this time period.

According to officials, trails like Goldstrike Hot Springs, Arizona Hot Springs, Liberty Bell Arch, White Rock Canyon, and Lone Palm at Lake Mead are closed as an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect.

Officials say conditions are dangerous, with a high risk of heat-related illness. Visitors are urged to respect all posted closures and plan accordingly.

Those still planning to visit the area are asked to be aware of emergency response could be delayed if help is needed. Safety officials recommend carrying extra water, avoiding outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, and knowing your limits.

The closures will remain in place until conditions improve.
