LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Tropicana Hotel site has been issued a implosion permit by Clark County.
FOX5 obtained a copy of the permit, dated September 23. It states that the cost of the implosion is $1.2 million.
The permit is valid for 180 days from issuance.
Bally’s officials have told FOX5, the demolition is scheduled for October 9 at 2:30 a.m. There will be a commemorative celebration in partnership with the future Las Vegas Athletics, the Major League Baseball team planning a stadium on the site.
The event will feature a fireworks and drone show.
