
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An indictment accuses Henderson City Councilmember Carrie Cox, who represents Ward 3, of attempting to listen to private conversations.
According to the indictment, the incident occurred on Jan. 9, 2025. Cox is accused of using a “mechanical device, electronic or other listening device” to monitor private conversations.
The alleged victims were identified as Dr. Monica Larson, Michael Hiltz, and Richard Smith.
The document, dated Nov. 4, alleges that Cox concealed herself behind a curtain to record the conversation, saying that she “willfully, unlawfully and feloniously” intruded on the privacy of another person.
FOX5 has reached out to Cox for comment on the indictment. This article will be updated if a response is received.
