LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Search and Rescue crews rescued an injured mountain biker who fell on a trial near Blue Diamond this past weekend.

According to Las Vegas Metro Police, the team conducted the rescue around 2 p.m. near the Blue Diamond mountain bike trail “G-Thang.”

The biker was riding on the trail when he slid off the trail and fell about 10 feet down into a small wash, fracturing their ankle.

SAR helicopter AIR3 inserted two officers near the biker’s location, where they treated the biker’s injury and moved him to another location for extraction.

The biker was then transported to BLM Fire Station before being taken to another nearby hospital for further treatment.
