LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas is expanding as a sports town as the International Arena League will open up its inaugural season in Las Vegas this spring.
Thursday, the league introduced the Las Vegas Rockers and their head coach. The IAL is a professional arena football league with seven home games scheduled locally and an expanding footprint that will include 12 teams across the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
Gameplay officially kicks off in April at the Orleans Arena. We heard from head coach Hollywood about being in Vegas.
“We are going to be the most electrifying and entertaining team in the IAL. And it’s only befitting because we’re in the most electrifying city in the world. So you guys can look forward to fast-paced, high-flying, entertaining football here in Las Vegas,” Hollywood said.
Coach Hollywood says the Rockers will bring home an IAL championship for Las Vegas.
