LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – UNLV announced that longtime philanthropist Joyce Mack has passed away.

According to reports, Mack died on Oct. 11, 2024, at age 99.

“I was saddened to learn of the passing of Joyce Mack,” said UNLV President Keith E. Whitfield.

Mack joined the UNLV Foundation Board of Trustees in 1999. The university shared that she had proudly held the position for 25 years.

Reports detailed her financial support toward education programs such as the William S. Boyd School of Law, establishing the school’s legal clinic, moot courtroom, and a law professorship.

Boyd Law named Joyce Woman of Valor in 2021 to honor her support for the program.

UNLV reported that Mack is survived by three daughters, Karen Mack Goldsmith, Barbara Mack, and Marilynn Mack.

A memorial service is scheduled for Nov. 3 in Las Vegasas, and a funeral service is set for Oct. 14 in California.
