LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A federal judge ruled against one of Henderson’s former Police Chiefs in her lawsuit against the city.

The city fired Latesha Watson in April of 2019 after less than two years on the job.

Watson was the city’s first Black female police chief, but she lead for only a short time.(FOX5)

Watson sued claiming racial discrimination, civil rights violations, defamation and libel.

The city says it let the chief go because of ongoing union issues.
