LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — One person is injured and another is in custody after a shooting near a local business on Monday morning, police say.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 4900 block of West Craig Road, near Decatur, around 7:34 a.m.
According to police, the incident started as a domestic dispute between two people.
The suspect, who has yet to be identified, then drove his car through the front doors of The Dollar Tree, got out, and began attacking a woman with a knife.
A nearby individual opened fire on the suspect, causing him to flee.
The suspect was later arrested, and the shooter was also detained. Authorities add that the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
