LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Indoor Football League announced today, May 2, that Vegas Knight Hawks linebacker Makel Calhoun has been named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week for Week 7 of the IFL season.

Calhoun earns the honor for the first time in his career, and he becomes the second Knight Hawk this season to be recognized as Player of the Week. Quarterback Ja’Rome Johnson has twice been named Offensive Player of the Week this season.
