LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Lead vocalist and founding member of Korn, Jonathan Davis has been announced as the Grand Marshal of the Pennzoil 400.
According to the release, Davis will deliver the most anticipated words in motorsports at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 15.
“Our concerts are loud, fast, and full of chaos, which sounds a lot like a NASCAR race,” Davis said. “I’m excited to jump into that world and soak up the energy of the track in Las Vegas.”
Celebrated for his ability to shift between aggressive screams and melodic singing, Davis’ career spans more than three decades and represents one of the most influential brands in modern rock, according to the announcement.
“Jonathan Davis is a cultural icon whose passion and intensity align perfectly with the energy of NASCAR racing,” said Patrick Lindsey, General Manager of Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “The Pennzoil 400 is all about big moments, and having Jonathan as our Grand Marshal is going to set the tone for an unforgettable race day.”
Korn is also set to take the stage at the Sick New World Festival, returning to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Saturday, April 25.
