LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas third-grader has her art work on display near Harry Reid International Airport!

Evelyn Hernandez, a third-grader at Gene Ward Elementary School, now has art on display. The art was selected in reference to the semester’s theme, “Springtime in the Desert,” showcasing the appreciation for “unique landscapes” in our area.

The project was in collaboration with Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson and Connell Outdoor Advertising, the owner of the billboard. The company agreed to print the winner’s submission at no cost.

“We’re proud to provide opportunities for our community’s youth to showcase their creativity and talents on a public platform,” said Commissioner Gibson, whose District includes the school and the airport. “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Connell Outdoor Advertising and support this initiative, aiming to inspire and celebrate young artists in our community.”
