LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – United Way of Southern Nevada is offering help for valley seniors struggling with their bills.

On Thursday, Aug. 29, seniors can connect with various utility service providers at Aliante Casino, Hotel & Spa. With funding from United Way, those 62 years or older can receive financial assistance from those providers to help with any past-due bills.

Service providers and local organizations in attendance include Cox Communications, Aetna, CenterWell, Las Vegas Valley Water District, HELP of Southern Nevada, and UnitedHealthcare.

“The Project REACH Senior Expos, powered by NV Energy, deliver essential utility assistance and resources to local seniors during the hot summer months,” said Samuel Rudd, UWSN COO and CFO “UWSN is proud to collaborate with NV Energy, utility providers, and community partners to ensure that seniors in need receive this crucial support.”

Eligible individuals and households can submit one application every 12 months and must meet the income eligibility guidelines.

Applicants must provide proof of eligibility along with a copy of their past-due utility bill. Income eligibility and additional requirements can be found HERE.
