LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The A’s stadium plans have been approved by the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board.

The board approved the lease development plans and assigned a committee to keep the build on track.

Mortenson McCarthy has been approved as the stadiums designer. The company also built Allegiant Stadium, the home of the raiders.

The budget for the stadium recently increased to 1.75 billion dollars, which was cleared by the board.

The developer says inflation caused material prices to increase along with an additional 40,000 square-feet of amenities.

FOX5 obtained a letter that US Bank and Goldman Sachs are prepared to lend up to $300 million for Athletics StadCo LLC.

If the price does go up from here the fisher family has been asked to help cover the cost, the board said in Thursday’s meeting.

Previously reported by FOX5, the price tag for the team’s move to the valley shot up about a quarter-billion dollars.

“As we talked about in the last meeting Mr. Fisher and I have both had the opportunity to review some detailed of the Fishers family finances and it is clear that the Fishers have the ability to move forward with this project,”

The A’s are set to play in Sacramento until the stadium is finished.

The team hopes the stadium will be completed for the 2028 season.
