LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Three Downtown Las Vegas casinos announced Friday that they will begin accepting Canadian dollars at equal value to U.S. dollars through the summer.
Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las vegas, and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino launched the “At Par” program to eliminate exchange rate concerns for Canadian travelers, according to a release from the properties.
The initiative will treat $1 Canadian dollar as $1 U.S. across select gaming, hotel, and beverage offerings.
Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of the three casinos, said the program aims to remove financial barriers for Canadian visitors.
“Canada has always been a part of my story, so I feel a deep connection to our Canadian visitors here in Las Vegas,” Stevens said. “At Par is about honoring that connection and removing unnecessary barriers, making sure Canadian visitors feel just as welcome downtown as they always have, without worrying about exchange rates.”
Canadian guests can redeem up to $500 CAD in slot promotional play at full U.S. dollar value by presenting valid Canadian identification at Club One locations at any of the three properties.
Hotel guests will pay room rates at the At Par rate, with the U.S. dollar amount charged directly in Canadian dollars without exchange rate conversion. The offer applies to room rates only and can be used for unlimited stays during the promotional period.
The beverage program extends to select venues including BarCanada at the D Las Vegas, Overhang at Circa and Bar Prohibition at Golden Gate. Canadian guests can also redeem At Par beverage pricing multiple times per visit with valid identification.
The release emphasizes that Canadian guests do not need to be staying at the participating properties to use the promotion.
