“When egregious and predatory contractors like Steven Adinolfi are convicted of felony charges and ordered to pay full restitution, it demonstrates the commitment by the Nevada Attorney General to bring justice to the victims who were harmed,” stated NSCB Executive Officer David Behar. “Being able to unify on these cases and advocate for the protection of consumers is our paramount objective, and this case illustrated the unfortunate impact one individual can have on a community.”

Officials have reminded homeowners to look out for common red flags:

  • Aggressive sales tactics
  • Demands for large down payments or cash-only payments
  • Failure to put project terms in writing
  • Failure to provide the contractor’s license number and/or contractor information to cross-check the NSCB’s website
