LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The man accused of killing another man with his own gun inside a downtown Las Vegas AutoZone was sentenced Thursday in a local courtroom.

Kyle Capucci, 36, appeared before a judge and was sentenced to 21 years to life in the May 2025 death of 21-year-old David Carcamo. He plead not guilty last July but later entered a guilty plea as part of an agreement in February.

According to an arrest report, Carcamo was inside the store when Capucci entered acting erratically and lunged at him, sparking a fight.

Capucci then took Carcamo’s firearm and shot him several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Capucci would later flee the scene after the shooting but was found nearby and taken into custody.

He will be eligible for parole after serving the minimum 21 years of his sentence.
