LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police detectives say 22-year-old Ziaire Ham is facing charges in a double homicide.
It happened on March 2 in the 11000 block of Victoria Medici Street, near Starr Avenue and Dean Martin Drive.
According to officials, Ham was located on Tuesday, March 3, by the Ogden City Police Department and the Utah Highway Patrol in northern Utah. He was taken into custody and booked into the Weber County Jail.

In a statement, Ogden police credited quick coordination between both agencies for Ham’s capture. They noted Ham confessed to the killings upon arrest.
“Ogden officers quickly coordinated and shared actionable suspect and vehicle information with our neighboring agencies, and that coordination paid off,” the statement said.
“A short time later, the vehicle was located in Roy, and Roy officers moved decisively to apprehend the suspect after he fled on foot. Coordination between the Ogden and Roy police departments was critical to the safe outcome of this situation. Ogden officers took custody of the suspect, who was arrested on local charges, including felony evading. During a follow-up interview conducted by Ogden detectives, the suspect confessed to the double homicide.”
Las Vegas police said the case began when officers were conducting a vehicle stop in the Southern Highlands area and heard gunfire nearby.
After searching the surrounding neighborhoods, officers found a car with bullet impacts.
Inside, they discovered a woman and a toddler suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where they later died.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified them as 20-year-old Danaijha Robinson and 1-year-old Nhalani Hiner.
Las Vegas authorities said Ham will be charged with open murder with the use of a deadly weapon, and is still waiting to be extradited back to Las Vegas
