LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detectives have arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred earlier this month on Paradise Road.
Anthony Vera was taken into custody on February 17, 2026, and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of Open Murder with the Use of a Deadly Weapon, according to police officials.
The arrest stems from an incident on February 5, 2026, when LVMPD Communications received a report at approximately 8:33 p.m. of an unresponsive male lying on the sidewalk in the 3600 block of Paradise Road.
Responding officers discovered the victim suffering from apparent stab wounds. Medical personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The LVMPD Homicide Section was immediately notified and took over the investigation. Through the course of their investigation, detectives were able to identify Vera as the suspect in the case.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
