LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man has been convicted and sentenced for killing a 2-year-old boy in Las Vegas four years ago.
Terrell Rhodes was found guilty for killing two-year-old Amari Nicholson. Nicholson was his girlfriend’s son.
In 2021, police say he buried the toddler’s body at a nearby hotel after he wet himself.
Back in April 2024, Rhodes agreed to plea guilty to first degree murder and assault on a protected person. The second charge stems from an in-custody fight for an officer’s gun following Rhodes’ arrest.
For murder in the first degree, Rhodes faces 20 years to life. For his assault charge, he faces a minimum of 28 to 72 months.
