LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An iconic Las Vegas rooftop nightclub is moving locations after ten years, according to a media release.
Drai’s Nightclub says it’s moving back to its original location when it opened nearly 30 years ago — The Cromwell Hotel’s basement. Officials say the rooftop will permanently close as a nightclub and beach club, but will serve as a luxury private event venue.
The rooftop is said to reopen summer next year as a resort-style pool with a new name.
Officials say different music will play across multiple rooms, “offering something for everyone.” The new nightclub will be open five nights a week.
The move is being led by Dustin Drai, who is taking over the club from his father, Victor.
“The past ten years on the rooftop have been nothing short of legendary. We are proud and humbled to have been the undisputed home of hip-hop and live entertainment in the world! We’ve welcomed over four million guests and hosted residencies with more than 40 iconic artists, some of whom have been with us from the very beginning,” said Victor Drai. “This is not only the end of an era, but also the end of something that will never be able to be recreated. We could not be prouder of what we’ve accomplished.”
According to the media release, the final weekend of Drai’s Nightclub at the rooftop will be on Halloween weekend through Sunday, Nov. 2.
