LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nurses in the Los Angeles area are getting some much-needed relief as Las Vegas nurses step in to help.
Earlier this week nurses from MountainView Hospital and Sunrise touched down in Los Angeles to help out at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.
Many of the healthcare workers there are also navigating personal loss while prioritizing patient care.
One nurse shared with FOX5, the personal connection she has with the area.
“I wanted to come help because you know I used to live here in Ventura county, this devastation that was brought to these people here this community, there are two reasons we don’t want to compromise patient care, some of the staff too or most of them would need help trying to come to work, render care and then they are thinking of personal stuff too,” nurse Ana Maria Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez described how the staff looked very worried and sad but they were grateful to the staff from Las Vegas that was there to help them
Two nurses and a nurse executive from Las Vegas are there right now and will stay as long as help is needed.
