LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police have arrested a man accused of killing his father in the southeast valley Wednesday night.
Police arrived in the 5300 block of Caprock Canyon around 6:18 p.m. to find an elderly man dead. Initially, police believed his death was from natural causes, but upon arrival, the death appeared to be suspicious in nature.
An initial investigation found that the man had suffered from a gunshot wound while he was home along with his 35-year-old, identified as Timothy La.
Detectives determined that La had shot his father and left the home.
La later returned to the home and was taken into custody on murder charges.
