LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating two separate crashes involving Metro officers that took place nearly a mile apart.
According to LVMPD on April 17, at 11 a.m. a patrol unit located a stolen car near Smoke Ranch Road and North Rainbow Boulevard.
The collision occurred when officers attempted to stop the car. The driver fled the scene, but officers did not pursue the vehicle.
Police say none of the officers involved were injured.
20 minutes later metro reported a second collision near Lake Mead Boulevard and James Bilbray Drive.
LVMPD says the officer and two others were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both crashes are under investigation.
