LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal crash, killing a pedestrian late Wednesday evening.

Metro says around 10:47 p.m. a car was heading northbound on Nellis Boulevard near Lake Mead when it hit a pedestrian.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

LVMPD does says impairment is not a factor in this crash.

Nellis is closed in both directions near Kell Lane.
