LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials are investigating a deadly hit-and-run that claimed the life of a man late Friday night.
The collision happened just after 11 p.m. near Flamingo and Mojave roads in southeast Las Vegas. Detectives said the pedestrian, identified only as a 25-year-old man from Las Vegas, was crossing Flamingo Road in a controlled, marked crosswalk when a light-colored SUV heading westbound struck him.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died. This marks the 151st traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction so far in 2025.
Police said the driver did not stop and continued westbound on Flamingo. Investigators are working to locate the vehicle and the person behind the wheel.
