LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police released more details on the Cybertruck driver’s route in the hours leading up to the explosion in front of the Trump hotel.
Sheriff Kevin McMahill says they were able to determine Mathew Livelsberger was driving the vehicle as it moved from Denver to Las Vegas. He was also identified by the Clark County coroner.
Livelsberger rented the truck in Denver on Dec. 28 via the Turo app. McMahill says police tracked his route through Tesla Charging stations.

He moved through Monument, Colorado on Dec. 30 and made several stops in New Mexico the next day. He drove through Arizona on Jan. 1.
McMahill says he was last tracked in Kingman, Arizona, at 5:33 a.m. on January 1, before arriving in Las Vegas at 7:29 a.m..
At 7:34 a.m. the Cybertruck was captured at Fashion Show Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard. A photo released by Metro on Thursday captures the truck turning left onto Fashion Show Drive.
Next, video released by Metro Police shows the Cybertruck pulling into the Trump Hotel valet. Video shows Livelsberger driving all the way through the valet, before turning right back onto Fashion Show Drive.
For the next hour, McMahill says they continue to track him along Las Vegas Boulevard.
“Through extensive surveillance video, we were able to track him leaving there, knowing that he went to several different places along Las Vegas Boulevard and he spent some time at a parking lot of a business near Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard,” he says.
Metro olice did not specify which business’s parking lot it was.
Then, at 8:35 a.m., the truck is captured making a right turn from Sands back onto Las Vegas Boulevard.
Four minutes later, police say he’s back at the Trump Hotel and pulls into the valet area at 8:39 a.m.. Within 17 seconds, McMahill says the Cybertruck explodes.
Metro Police say they used a mix of RTC and private business cameras to capture the Cybertruck’s movements.
