LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported zero traffic fatalities on local roadways this week.
The department said the news is a reminder that safe choices behind the wheel make a difference. Staying alert, slowing down and driving responsibly help protect everyone who shares the road, police said.
Police are asking drivers to continue driving safely and looking out for one another.
According to Metro police statistics, 35 people have died in traffic crashes from Jan. 1 to Apr. 7, 2026. The top causal factors include pedestrian error, failure to yield right of way, and excessive speed or failure to maintain lane.
