LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police saved two stuck climbers at a Red Rock Canyon trail on Christmas morning.
The climbers were at Pine Creek on Christmas Eve when a storm passed through and they could not keep going. Because of the high winds, search and rescue were not able to rescue them.
The climbers stayed overnight.
When the weather improved, search and rescue flew in and extracted the two climbers with a hoist. They were transported to a BLM Fire station helipad uninjured.
According to the Friends of Las Vegas Metro Search and Rescue Facebook page, Christmas Eve also had two barricades and another rescue operation throughout the day.
