LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas shelter is waiving adoption fees for all its animals at an upcoming event.
The Animal Foundation is inviting the Las Vegas Valley to its “Fall in Love” adoption event Saturday. Organizers say adoption fees will be waived for all shelter animals thanks to a sponsorship.
The shelter says each adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, microchip and vaccinations. A $10 license fee may apply.
According to a media release, The Animal Foundation is currently caring for 829 animals, with more than 462 available for adoption.
“The shelter continues to face a space crisis, making it critical to place as many pets as possible into loving homes,” the shelter said. “Overcrowding puts pets at risk of illness, causes stress and strains resources. That’s why adopters are urgently needed to give animals the homes they deserve.”
People who plan on attending the event can expect to scan a QR code at the shelter’s entrance to join a digital check-in system. The shelter says people will receive text updates about their place in line and when it’s their turn to meet a pet.
