LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — In a letter dated Sept. 17 to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, the Mexican cuisine restaurant Carlos’n Charlie’s announced it would eliminate 79 jobs due to the closure of its location at Flamingo Las Vegas.
“Due to the landlord forcing the Company out of the leased premises to make changes in the leased area, the Company has lost all ability to conduct business resulting in the decision to permanently lay off its employees,” the letter said.
According to the letter, Carlos’n Charlie’s will permanently cease operations on Nov. 18.
The letter states that the 79 layoffs will include 22 servers, 11 master cooks, nine runners, eight bartenders, seven utility porters, five hosts, one barback and 16 employees whose positions were not defined in the note.
