LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas talent agency says the city’s growth is creating more opportunity for local models and actors.

TNG, which stands for The New Generation, held the second step of its scouting process Monday after drawing hundreds to its quarterly open call. The agency now represents more than 750 people, with about 30 to 35 percent of that talent based locally.

President and CEO Noelle Haddad McCann, a Las Vegas native, founded the agency after her own modeling career took her to Chicago. She said when she first wanted to model in Las Vegas, the city was not a strong market for aspiring talent. She eventually moved to Chicago, signed with Ford Models and worked in a larger market before returning home to care for her parents.

As the city continues to grow, more opportunities are coming up for local models and actors.

Building a local agency

After coming back to Las Vegas to take care of her parents, McCann decided to build the kind of agency she once wished had existed.

“And so my dream was really cut short. But I knew that I could still live that dream and still help other models, other aspiring talent reach their goals if I just started my own agency,” McCann said. She co-founded the company with her sister. Her co-owner is Jason Beitel.

“We’re developing, we’re coaching, we’re educating, we’re developing, and we’re helping these models essentially become models and then place them outside of our market in other markets like Los Angeles, Paris, New York, etc.” said Beitel.

The agency has grown from 25 local girls to more than 750 talent. McCann said the agency helps connect local talent with advertising campaigns, commercials, films and other productions shooting across the valley.

“I wanted to build an agency that was local, that could accommodate all of the advertising campaigns that come out of our city. We are the entertainment capital of the world. We have these amazing resorts. And they do a ton of content. They’re shooting. They’re promoting. So, starting TNG, it just made sense to build a roster of local talent, models and actors, that had dreams to get involved in the films that take place in this city, the commercials that are shot here, and all of the campaigns that we shoot on the Strip and outside of the Strip,” McCann said.

McCann said she hopes to see more TV and film production come to Southern Nevada in the years ahead.

TNG’s next open call is set for Friday, April 24 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Gramercy. The agency says it is looking for talent ages 14 and up of all backgrounds, sizes and experience levels.
