LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas teen accused of attempting a “lone-wolf” terror plot on behalf of ISIS appeared in court Wednesday morning.

Joshua Robles faces eight terrorism-related charges, including five charges of possession of a component of explosive or incendiary device. Robles was indicted by a Grand Jury last week.

In a court hearing Wednesday, Robles pleaded not guilty and invoked his right to a speedy trial. His next court date was set for Aug. 28.

Robles allegedly had the makings for an IED, an improvised explosive device, and made social media posts supporting ISIS.

“Peace by upon all brothers who see this. I am here to announce that I will be starting lone wolf operations in Las Vegas against the enemies of Allah,” prosecutors said Robles posted, along with an image of the ISIS flag. “I ask you to make Dua for victory. I am a supp

orter of the Islamic State, and I will make sure the zionists in this city know it.”

Prosecutors allege Robles intended to support ISIS, saying Robles gathered explosive material “to target one or more areas within Clark County, NV” and had a map of Chaparral High School as a possible target.

A jury trial was set for Oct. 21.
