LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A joint operation led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) resulted in the arrest of one person and the seizure of more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine, authorities announced.
According to officials, LVMPD officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Wednesday, March 4. The driver was identified as 37-year-old Victor Luis Arriola, a U.S. citizen.

When officers approached the vehicle, they observed what appeared to be narcotics in plain view in the rear of the vehicle, stored in two large open boxes.
A search later confirmed the presence of more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine.
Arriola was arrested on state charges and booked into the Clark County Detention Center, where he remains in custody without bail.
He is due back in court for a status check on Tuesday, March 10, according to court records.
