LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – On Thursday, it was business as usual at Trump International Hotel after a Cybertruck exploded in its valet area.

However, the increase in police presence was hard to miss among the many guests and hotel residents who were going in and out.

The day after a Cybertruck exploded in front of the hotel, it was packed with guests walking past the damage in the valet area.

The damage was minimal, but a hole could be seen in the ceiling of the valet area and some black smoke remnants on the windows on top of the glass doors leading to the lobby.

“Honestly, everything seems so normal,” said Andrew Oakeson.

Oakeson and his wife Heidi own a penthouse on the 56th floor of the Trump Hotel, and like many they were woken up by the blast.

“I thought the whole building was burning down to be completely honest,” Andrew said.

The couple said an announcement came up on the loud speaker telling those inside they can evacuate, but if they did they would not be able to return.

Andrew and Heidi decided to stay put in their room.

They tell FOX5 they did not hear much from anyone about what was going on until Thursday when management sent a letter to those who own units in the hotel.

The letter said, in part, “We are incredibly relieved to report no employees or guests sustained serious injuries.”

Throughout Thursday, there were many people who were not residents or guests walking through the property.

Many who can be seen taking pictures of the damage left over.
