LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Animal Foundation says any community member willing to open their heart could walk out of the shelter to foster a litter of kittens the same day.
The shelter says they are launching their “Itty Bitty Kitty Committee” this month.
Organizers say they took in 300 kittens the month of April. With “kitten season” expected between the months of March and October, the shelter expects to take in thousands of orphaned kittens.
“Kitten fosters not only help save the lives of the kittens in their care, but they also free up essential resources for the shelter to take in even more kittens,” the foundation says.
The Animal Foundation says those willing can walk in between 4 to 7 p.m. at 655 N. Mojave Road, be trained by a staff member, and take a litter of kittens home the same day. The shelter says they will provide all necessary supplies.
