LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 30-year-old woman has died after crashing into a light pole in the southern valley Monday night.

According to Las Vegas Metro Police, the single-vehicle crash occurred around 10:33 p.m. on West Harmon Avenue and South Aldebaran Avenue. An initial investigation found that a 2004 Dodge Dakota was traveling east on Harmon Avenue, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and traveled onto the sidewalk.

The Dodge then hit a large wall and rotated into a nearby light post, ejected the woman onto the sidewalk.

Arriving medical crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

“The driver’s death marks the 10th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2025,” LVMPD noted in a release.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
