(Gray News) – NBA all-star LeBron James made a cryptic post on X Monday that teased to the “decision of all decisions.”

The video posted was a nod to an ESPN special that aired in 2010 entitled “The Decision,” where James shocked the basketball world by announcing he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In his post Monday, the famed basketball player wrote, “The decision of all decisions. October 7. 12 pm EST,” followed by a saluting emoji and a king’s crown.

James was sure to use #TheSecondDecision and framed the video in the same format in which he made his initial decision in 2010 – sitting in a chair across from a reporter.

The announcement? The NBA standout has teamed up with Hennessy to present V.S.O.P Limited Edition by LeBron James.

The latest release of Hennessy is available in select markets worldwide.

“It’s an honor to continue this partnership with Hennessy,” James said in a press release. “The design features my crowning gesture, which is special for me and stands for celebration and connection. That’s what this bottle is made for.”

When James’ social post was initially made, fans were speculating a potential retirement announcement, as he will turn 41 in December.

James is preparing for his 23rd season in the NBA and eighth season with the Lakers, ESPN reported.

According to ESPN, ticket prices spiked after James made his post on X.

The sports outlet reports that per Vivid Seats, the least expensive ticket for the April 12, 2026, game against the Utah Jazz started at $82, but has jumped to $580 per ticket.
